General Washington's Headquarters (Isaac Potts House), Valley Forge National Historical Park, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, United States.

Washington actually slept in a hut (now gone) that was located close to the shadow of the tree in the left foreground. Valley Forge was the military camp 18 miles (29 km) northwest of Philadelphia where the American Continental Army, led by General George Washington, spent the winter of 1777–78 during the American Revolutionary War.
