Rusting and corroding bullets from WWII that are found during construction in Okinawa


Takamatsu Gushiken (age 58) head of a citizen's group that recovers human remains from WWII that are found during construction on Okinawa. Okinawa was the site of some of the fiercest fighting in WWII, the typhoon of steel and the brutal land war lead to the deaths of many civilians. Skeletons, bone fragments, shells, and artifacts are collected by the group and documented. The remains of identified bodies are returned to their families.
