The Flying Buzz-Saw

Cover of Air Wonder Stories, April 1930 by Frank R. Paul showing airplanes battling a giant saw shaped UFO. Illustrated for a story, "The Flying Buzz-Saw" by H. McKay. Frank Rudolph Paul (April 18, 1884 - June 29, 1963) was an American illustrator of pulp magazines in the science fiction field. A discovery of editor Hugo Gernsback, Paul was influential in defining what both cover art and interior illustrations in the nascent science fiction pulps of the 1920s looked like.
