'Victoria' Michaelmas daisy, Höstaster (Symphyotrichum novi-belgii)


A North American species which has become naturalized in parts of Europe, thriving in ruderal and waste areas, and mainly spreading vegetatively. Violet to lavendar, white, pink red or blue flowers with golden yellow centers are carried singly or in clusters. Autumn flowering asters are known as Michaelmas daisies because they flower around Michaelmas.
