'Advance Series Postcard Number 257', entitled 'Promenade South Shore Blackpool', showing Edwardian people and Dreadnought tram at Blackpool South Shore, near the South Pier, looking towards the Tower and dating to about 1911. The tram carries an advert for Nestle's Milk, the Nestle Company being formed in 1905. The card bears an unclear postmark with a red one penny (1d) George V stamp. the postal rate for UK postcards increasing from one halfpenny to one penny in June 1918.
