Chapman College in Orange City, Orange County, California, USA


Originally known as Hesperian College, this Orange County, California school is now known as Chapman College The school first started offering classes on March 4, 1861 in honor of President Abraham Lincoln's inauguration. Eventually, in 1934, the school was renamed after its primary benefactor, Chapman. Chapman University is the largest private university in Orange County and includes the School of Law, the School of Education, the College of Performing Arts, the Schmid College of Science, the Wilkinson College of Humanities, the Argyros School of Business and Economics, the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, and Social Sciences and University College.
