A hemiparasitic native of Great Britain with leathery green leaves and white glutinous berries in winter. It grows on apple, oak, poplar and other broadleaf trees. Bunches hung up as a traditional Christmas decoration under which lovers are expected to kiss from which it derives its other name 'the Kissing bough'. Also associated with Druidic Mythology.
