Villa of the Fairies (Villa delle Fate.) Renaisance style Swiss chalet mixing Hellenistic, Romanesque, and medieval features complete with covered turrets, roofed external stairways, overhanging eaves, loggias with pillars and arches and on the outside extensively covered in frescoes which depict various scenes of the Florentine Renaisance, medieval ships and Romulus and Remus with the she wolf. Situated in the area of Rome known as Coppedè, which bears the name of the Florentine archtiectect Gino Coppedè (1866 - 1927) who designed the buildings in the area in the decade following the First World War. The villa was once home to a famous Italian opera tenor and actor, Beniamino Gigli (1890 - 1957).
