A heavy Prussian regimental chest, circa 1760, Rectangular chest of sheet iron with closely set, crossover band fittings, the front with a key plate and sham lock, two lateral movable handles. Hinged lid, the covering of the central keyhole with relief-worked Prussian eagle made of sheet copper (small defects). Concealed lock mechanism with twelve latches. Original hollow shank key with heart-shaped bow and elaborate bit. Lateral cover support, the front with two hasps for padlocks. Mounted on an old wooden pedestal. Dimensions 63 x 83 x 50 cm.
