The GR20 crosses through the Cirque de la solitude, one of the highlights of probably the most arduous walking route in Europe. This day is listed by the guides as hard, and that just doesn't say enough. Walking becomes an easy climb but certainly worrying and very exposed for the the nervously disposed. For most it will simply take your breath away.
