Body slender, elongated, rather stouter posteriorly than anteriorly^ depressed, broader than deep. Tail very short, subconical, bluntly terminated, about one-twentieth of the total length. Rostral rounded, tapering, separating the nasals for nearly their whole length. Nasals proportionally large, entirely separated by the nasal suture, tapering upward, aud undulating. Inferior nasal subtriangular, nostril situated ou the middle of its upper margin, close to the frontonasal. Eye shield large, irregularly obhmg, extending to the top of the head from the.
