Harvested and stacked reeds for roof thatching, Dingle Marshes, Walberswick Suffolk England, a NNR National Nature Reserve

Harvested and stacked reeds for thatching, cut from the Dingle Marshes, Walberswick Suffolk England, a NNR National Nature Reserve of freshwater reedbeds next to the North Sea behind an eroding shingle ridge. This coastal erosion places the freshwater ecosystem at risk and likely to change to a saltmarsh over the coming years and decades.
