Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He served from March 1861 to his assassination on April 15, 1865. He was chosen as the Republican candidate at the Convention in 1860. Lincoln was a lawyer, but before he went to law school, he held a variety of jobs. This illustration, which dates to 1902, shows Lincoln studying at during lunch time.
