Barefoot pilgrims cross the Skawe River, which identifies itself with the Cedron. People take pebbles from the river that resemble the insignia of the Passion. People believe that water has healing the Holy Week, an indulgence is held at the Passion-Marian Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which is accompanied by the mystery of the Lord's Meki. Many pilgrims from Poland and abroad come to the ceremony. The Passion and Marian Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska is one of the oldest and most famous pilgrimage sites in Poland.
