Interior view of the abbey of in Casauria, with the ambo and the candelabrum. This monument is one of the most important abbeys in central Italy and is located on the "pilgrimage of Saint Thomas", the "Cammino di Tommaso", that begins in Abruzzo because of the holy remains of St Thomas Apostle that have been kept in Ortona cathedral since 1258.
