The village of Kayakoy or Levrissi in Greek; abandoned when the Greek population were expelled to Greece in a population exchange between the Greek and Turks. This event happened in the early 1920s, after a war between the two states; ended with a Turkish victory. The Turks from Greece found the village of no use, as they were made up of an agricultural population that needed land for their livestock.
