Seungmu is a Korean folk dance adapted from a Buddhist ritual dance but is not strictly linked to Buddhism. It is one of the most famous Korean traditional dances and designated as South Korea's important intangible cultural asset number 27 in 1969. The Seungmu reflects the most characteristic beauty of Korea among all other dances.
