A rose bush grows at the end of each row of grape vines in one of the many vineyards in the McLaren Vale wine district of South Australia. The region consistency produces fine wines from a number of varieties, most importantly Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Roses are sensitive to the same diseases as grapevines and if someone notices the rose plant is sick, the grapevine is promptly checked
