Part of the impressive ruins of Kildrummy Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Even ruined, the stronghold of the mighty earls of Mar is a fine example of a 13th-century castle, with its curtain wall, four round towers, hall and chapel. The arched windows of the chapel can be seen, and to the left the remains of the Warder's Tower which held the prison.
