Over, UK. 2nd Feb, 2014. The sun sets through reeds on the River Great Ouse washes near the village of Over in the Cambridgeshire Fens on World Wetlands Day 2nd February 2014. The 2nd February each year marks the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands, first signed in 1971 at Ramsar in Iran. The Ramsar secretariat provides resources to promote public awareness of the importance of wetlands and this year focuses on the links with agriculture. The River is flooded after the recent heavy rains and provides a wetland habitat for wildfowl. Credit Julian Eales/ Alamy Live News
