Bioreactor. Small-scale bioreactor used for cell growth and recombinant (synthetic) protein production. Bioreactors are devices that maintain a specific environment to allow organisms or their derivative substances to undergo chemical processes. They allow all aspects of the environment, such as pH, temperature, and light, to be controlled and maintained at the required levels.
