The Fort Crawford Museum located in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin tells the story of the Second Fort Crawford which was built in the 1830s. It was the fort where many Indian treaties were negotiated and the place where Black Hawk surrendered on August 27, 1832 which ended the Black Hawk War.
