Old Palace Yard, London. 5th September 2016. Demonstrators stage a protest outside the Houses of Parliament calling for the government to invoke Article 50, thus initiating Britain's exit from the European Union. The demonstration coincides with a debate by MPs in the House of Commons of the possibility of holding a second referendum on Britain’s EU membership in response to an online petition. The Invoke Article 50 NOW! campaign has been organised by spiked, which according to its website claims to be Britain’s first online-only current-affairs mag, currently edited by Brendan O’Neill.
