Wilson and Miss Winters has been engaged to fill the vacancy. Miss Stevens, of the staff of George B. Hart, spent the week-end with her parents at Seneca Falls, N. Y. Miss Orwen has returned from her vacation. H. E. Wilson's window was attrac- tively decorated for the week-end with large vases of lavender, white and yel- low mums, also well-colored straw- flowers arranged in handle baskets with ribbon ties. Mr. Wilson reports busi- ness as good, and he is looking forward to a big business during the coming winter. H. J. H. FORT WAYNE, IND. The Market. There has l)ccn a general feeling among the florists that business would be greatly increased if we should have a killing frost. It came Thursday morn- ing, October 13, and there has been a greater demand since for greenhouse stock. Roses are excellent in quality and carnations arc arriving in larger quantities and better quality. There has also been a great demand for corsage bouquets. Various Notes. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Shive and Miss Jeanette Scliock visited the ti^Je in In- , Tuesday, October 11. They also attended the industrial exposition while in the city. Mrs. C. Lanternicr attended the F. 1. D. meeting in Toronto. This firm has been having a special sale on ferns, which has been well patronized by the public.
