Maasai cattle inside village just outside the Maasai Mara game preserve show the effect of the ongoing drought in East Africa.

Cattle are dying in such numbers from the drought that local tribesman often drive them inside the game preserves at night in search of food and water. Often they are so weak that they become easy prey for predators such as lions and hyenas. NOTE: Individual property and model releases were not obtained but permission was granted by the village elders and a fee was paid in order to take these photographs.
