Sunset at Point Arena Lighthouse, located on Point Arena peninsula on the rocky Pacific coast of northern California. The original Point Arena Lighthouse was built in 1870, but it was rebuilt with reinforced concrete after it was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake. The lighthouse was automated in 1977, and it still serves as an active aid to navigation.
