1932 - Ex Servicemen & Rioters storm the Capitol in Washington in protest in not receiving a lump sum bonus on their return from overseas. President Herbert Hoover ordered the Army to evict the “Bonus Army” veterans from the Capitol and ordered General MacArthur to tell his men to set fire to the protestors’ camps on the city outskirts and forcibly expel them from Washington.
