The powerful volcanic eruption lights up the night sky. HAIR-RAISING images show of one of the world’s most active volcanoes in the world exploding into life. The series of spectacular pictures from this latest eruption shows the red hot Piton de la Fournaise volcano oozing a sea of burning lava. Other sensational images show the molten eruption lighting up the evening sky. French photographer Gabriel Barathieu (33) braved the conditions to take these sensational shots of the volcano on Réunion Island just off of the east coast of Madagascar.
