MODEL RELEASED. Radiation and UV emissions test. Scientist from the Health Protection Agency Department of Health (HPA/DH) using a spectroradiometer (right hand) to measure the amount of radiation and ultraviolet light being emitted from the Ewbank Raycop vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner has an inbuilt UV-C germicidal lamp that kills bacteria, dust mites and germs from soft furnishings such as beds and sofas. This could prevent asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis and other allergies caused by house dust mites that thrive in mattresses, bedding, sofas and other household furniture.
