Belvoir castle is the site of the famous witchcraft site, where the Flower family of witches harmed by their art the two small children of the Sixth Earl of Rutland, the owner of Belvoir. The witchcraft tomb in Saint Mary the Virgin, Bottesford, relates to this famous case.
