Zululand Zulu meat-dishes were of a distinctive type and specimens noted did not vary much in shape and decoration. They varied in length from 45 to 80 cm, with an average width of 29 cm, and stood about 8 cm high. The most common shape was a rounded rectangle, though circular meat-dishes were also made.
