The Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade was a parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort. The parade first premiered on October 1, 2001 as part of the Walt Disney World Resort's 100 Years of Magic Celebration. The parade is a procession of characters riding in highly themed cars down the streets of Disney's Hollywood Studios in true Hollywood style. During the holiday season, the parade was transformed into the "Hollywood Holly-day Parade". The parade had its final run at Disney's Hollywood Studios on March 8, 2008. It has been replaced by the Block Party Bash parade from Disney California Adventure Park. Block Party Bash had its "soft opening" on March 9, 2008. Part of the parade has moved to its sister park, the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in 2009, and has been renamed Disney Stars 'n' Cars. It did premiere on April, 4th but been previewed for the guests on March 9th. Captain James Hook (James is sometimes shortened to Jas) is a fictional character: the antagonist of J. M. Barrie's play Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up and its various adaptations. The character is a pirate captain of the brig Jolly Roger. He is described as "boatswain to Blackbeard" and "the man that frightened Barbecue", and is Peter Pan's archenemy. His two principal fears are the sight of his own blood ( supposedly an unnatural colour) and the crocodile who pursues him after eating the hand cut off by Pan. An iron hook replaced the severed right hand (his left in some versions), which gave the pirate his name. After getting a taste of Hook, the crocodile pursues him relentlessly, but the ticking clock it has swallowed warns Hook of its presence. Jafar was the Royal Vizier of Agrabah and is the main antagonist in Disney's 1992 animated feature film Aladdin, its 1994 sequel and the direct-to-video film Mickey's House of Villains. He also appeared in an episode of Disney's 1998 television series Hercules. Jafar is voiced by Jonathan Freeman.
