Questions of special scientific interest, orrelative to methods, which the Rector or Su-perior Council shall consider as suitable to betreated in general Assembly, 3. Lectures common to all the Colleges orUniversitarian Institutions, with a view to esta-blish the co-relation of the respective sciences,and to the realisation of the social «extension»of knowledge. 4. OF LA PLATA 165 after the expiration of the first period of desig-nation of same by the Executive Power, inwhich should take part all those who form partof the body of professors, and are connectedwith the Institution by active functions. In this manner, the uni ver sitarían life will ha-ve its moments of civic agitation, which, ascorresponds to a select electoral body, wouldonly have a reflexive intensity, very distant,as a matter of fact, from the tumultuous mo-vements of a direct elective democracy, and if,as it may be expeted, it attempted to conden-se the expression of public and students desi-res, we may expect a series of Presidents whosesuccessive order will be a progressive and as-cendent one. 6.—Administrative Employees The real administrative functions, or those soentitled, because they are apart from teaching-duties, are those for the maintenance of orderin this vast institution, in a material sens
