Costume of Granville. The same bonnet as in Plate 99, with the tails of chiffon folded and tied. She has knotted her shawl in the same fashion. Hand-colored fashion plate illustration by Lante engraved by Gatine from Louis-Marie Lante's "Costumes des femmes du Pays de Caux," 1827/1885. With their tall Alsation lace hats, the women of Caux and Normandy were famous for the elegance and style.
