A Dachshund ashtray, from the Imperial Majolika Manufacture Cadinen. Plastically modelled figure with multi-couloured glaze. Design by Max Bezner. Manufacture mark on the base. Height 20 cm. Very rare. Max Bezner worked for Cadinen and created mostly busts of Emperor Wilhelm II. Apart from the dachshund (no. 393), he made only very few animal sculptures, cf.
