The Lemon Festival is a traditional festive event organized by the Tourist Office which is held each year in late winter in the city of Menton . This festival is also called Carnival Menton . During the festival, the Biovès Gardens take on dazzling yellow and orange sunshine colours. Some of the displays requiire nearly fifteen tonnes of citrus fruits. Every year, it takes thousands of hours to create these sculptures, with the fruits placed one at a time. A tradition that has been carefully maintained since the start of the last century.
