Bruce Tyndall Monument on the Falkland Estate, Fife. Onesiphorous Tyndall-Bruce (1790 - 1855) was an English barrister.


Falkland Estate in Fife holds the Bruce Tyndall Monument to Onesiphorous Tyndall-Bruce (1790 - 1855) who was an English barrister. and became, through marriage, a noted figure in the history of Falkland. Born in Bristol, his family had been merchants and slave-traders who had opened Bristol's first bank in 1750. Tyndall-Bruce was educated at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford. After marrying heiress Margaret Stuart Hamilton Bruce in 1828, he became Hereditary Keeper of Falkland Palace. Gales in 2011-12 felled many trees.
