Wreathed round it is Pope Pius XII motto "Opus Justitae Pax" (The work of justice shall be peace, Is, 32, 17). On a plinth in the back is the papal tiara, flanked by cross and crosier, standing on the Holy Scripture and the chalice, framed by laurel and palm leaves.
