A South German significant cabinet, circa 1600. Rectangular softwood body with elaborate veneer made from walnut, ebony wood, ash wood and different kinds of fruitwoods. The front sides of the doors with depictions of birds on branches with blossoms surrounded by decorative frames and inlaid decorative bands. On the inner side lavish marquetry decorations with central ornamental cartouches. The inside with three lockable compartments, the one in the middle with a double door.
