Gloster Gladiator biplane, under restoration.

Gloster Gladiators were the last biplane fighters used by the Royal Airforce. They came into service in 1937, less than a year before Hurricanes started to replace them. All Gladiators had been taken out of front line service by September 1941. A total of 747 Gladiators were produced, and were exported to 13 countries.
