A Celtic long sword with scabbard, Middle La Tène Period, 3rd/2nd century Stuck tightly in the scabbard, a broad iron blade with typically curved iron quillons and a conical (slightly bent) tang. The iron scabbard is ridged on the obverse side and has a chape overlay. There is a riveted suspension ring on the reverse side of the locket. Uncleaned, conserved excavation discovery.
