Orange Roughy (Hoplostethus Atlanticus): haul from trawl net on a commercial, deep-sea fishing trawler.

OOrange Roughy (Hoplostethus Atlanticus): haul from trawl net on a commercial, deep-sea fishing trawler. These fish live in deep water ( 800-2000m) and can live for up to 150 years. The flesh is very white and they are good eating. The fat layer under the skin must be removed during filleting to avoid illness. Very popular in the USA since Ewing (of Dallas fame) specifically ordered some in a restaurant. Reputed to be very nutritious and a healthy source of protein and Omega Oils.
