The Convent of the Holy Cross, known both as Capuchos and the Cork Convent, near Sintra, Portugal

The Convent of the Holy Cross in the Sintra Hills, also known as Capuchos, was built in 1560 as an austere retreat for Franciscan friars. Also called the Cork Convent as the friars used cork from local trees for insulation.
