It was not long after hismarriage, before the associating with bad companyand the neglect of his business involved him so farin debt, that he was obliged to quit his house, inapprehension of bailiffs. Among the idle acquaintance that Cook had madeat Stratford, was an apothecary, named Young, whowas concerned with him in robbing gardens and fish-ponds, and in stealing poultry.
