Ama Yangri is one of the highest peaks around Kathmandu Valley, situated at an elevation of 3,771m above sea level in Sindhupalchok district. Ama Yangri is considered to be a deity who protects the entire Hyolmo valley region and according to the local Buddhist tradition, visiting the sacred site would grant fulfilment of one's wishes and desires.
