Frank Sinatra performs at the reopening of the Chicago Theater.

Frank Sinatra performs at the grand reopening of the Chicago theater. The reopening marked the culmination of a four year preservation effort at a cost of $18 million dollars (US) which left the current seating capacity of the theater at 3,600. The Gala reopening was symbolic because Mr. Sinatra had performed at the theater in the 950's. Credit: Mark Reinstein
