The color is far purer than in the single kind, and the blossoms are larger and more numerous, whilst there appears no end to its flowering period, — the plant never losing its peculiar compact habit .50 STOCKS. Stock, New Perpetual Flowering Double White [Hardy's AU-the-Year-Roiind). The raiser says: "This variety will produce fine spikes of double white flowers from January to December. The plants grow about twelve inches in height, and if plenty of room is given, will grow three feet through, well feathered to the ground, and produce thousands of bunches of bloom. If sown in the Spring the plant will begin to flower in November, and keep in bloom all -the Winter and the following yearif planted out of doors. I gathered a large bunch of the double flowers last Christmas frozen hard, and when put in water they opened out quite fresh; the same plants have been, and are still, in bloom. There are but few single ones; they come at least 75 per cent, ; Stock, Forcing Ten-week " Snow Flake " [Diuarf, Wallfiower-leaved, Large Flcncering). The number of Annuals which furnish white flowers for cutting very early in the year is so limited that the addition thereto of a first-class novelty like the present one will certainly prove welcome. In habit this Stock closely resembles the Dwarf Pyra- midal race; it produces a vigorous main spike of uncommonly large and very double snow-white flowers, and, when fully developed, also numerous flowering side- shoots.
